Riviera Maya Mexico 2012

In March we went to the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. It is about 40 miles East of Cancun, and 10 miles West of Playa Del Carmen. We stayed at a resort that we have been to twice before. And, of course we loved it. This is a view from the beach where we spent some days (under a shaded hut, of course).

I went scuba diving, including two dives in the "Cenotes", which are underwater caverns, some of which are in total darkness, (we had lights), with stalagtites and cool rock formations. Here are a few pictures from the dievs shop's web site. I did not take these photos, but they are of the same caverns we went to.

This is one of the many pool areas. Also, lots of shaded areas, of you want.

A sandy beach next to a pool.

An infinity pool near one the the lagoons.

We liked it so much, we plan to stay here again, and hopefully bring our family back... We can picture the grandkids playing in this little pool off the back porch, can't you?

Other viewes of the rooms...

Another pool area... Lots of places for the grandkids to play...

If you come with us, you might be tempted to take a nap or two...

We ordered pizza one night, four toppings, and um, have never seen the toppings separated like this! SWe just laughed!

Just visualize Jackson, and Bradshaw saying, "Gramps, will you please come build a sandcastle with us!?"

So...Will you join us?

We will! It looks incredible.

The Cenotes sound really cool in a high adrenaline way. :)

I could picture your grandsons & granddaughters playing on the beach there.

I want to go! As long as there are no artichokes on my pizza..or at least as long as they're separated from the ham;)
