Ron has been scanning mom and dad's entire photo collection. They can be found on flickr.com. But, I thought I would pick a few and commetn on them here. These are from 1971-72, or at least Ron has them labled that way. Some of them are clearly from another year:

Greg and Kenny were particularly close. Greg spent a lot of time with him. Doesn't Greg look skinny here?

I love this picture of mom. It was taken in Baja California, a place they liked to visit by flying down there in their airplane.

This is one of my favorites from that era. We were popping up a spitting water at mom and dad! You can tell Kenny and Ron still have their mouths full of water. Funny how I can remember that like it was yesterday. We spent a lot time in that pool. On Saturdays, after we had done our chores at the clinic, dad would come home from work around noon, maybe we would do some weeding first, then we would jump in the pool. We worked hard and played hard.

Fishing ont he Conejos River with my grandpa and cousins Brian Guymon, Blane Guymon and Ron. I loved my grandpa. We spent many summers with them staying for several weeks at a time.

Flying with dad. Dad loved to fly. It was really a passion of his, a way to relax and get away from the pressures of work. This is a Cessna 182 that we had for many years. We used to fly to Mexico and Colorado a lot. But, sometimes, we would just fly around the valley.

In 1973, Ron and I went to the Boy Scout Jamboree in Cour'd'lene, Idaho with alarge contigent troop from the desert area. It took a lot of preparation, including this preparation camp, I thinkint he Fall of 1972.

Dad always kept us busy in our 2-acre yard. Wewere lays planting, weeding, digging and laying pvc pipe, fixing sprinklers, etc, etc. Here, we planted two orange trees. We got some great fruit off our citrus trees. Before seminary, I used to pick a fresh grapefruit to eat. Add a little sugar, mmm. And, the smell of lemon blossums was heavenly. I wish I could still smell that. But, I don't miss cutting, juicing, pottling and freezing hundreds of lemons. Of course, I didn't mind when we could have lemonade in the summer.

More pool fun. Here we are balancing on an inner-tube. One game we played was to put someone in the middle of the pool on an inner-tube, and the others would jump on the tube and try to tip them over. Of course, lots of times, you landed on the person, especially when you did a running jump. I think we called it the "dive bomber" game. It was so much fun.

Just hanging out with my brothers.

A bunch of lanky Jackson boys and their dad.

Loved looking at these pictures of your childhood.
I think I see a little of Jackson in Kenny in that picture of you three in the pool.
Thanks Dad, I loved looking at those. Do some more!
